Basement spray foam insulation in Okotoks depends entirely on which half of the town a house sits in, and that is unusual for a place this size. Okotoks has a genuine older core and a set of much newer subdivisions, and their basements have almost nothing in common.

What a newer Okotoks basement usually needs
On the newer phases the concrete is sound and the question is sequence. Where the basement is still open, foam to the wall before any framing is the cheapest and most effective this will ever be. Where the builder finished it, the usual find is a stud wall with batts and poly, which slows heat and controls neither air nor moisture, and whether that comes apart is a genuine trade-off.

Below grade the temperature is steadier than above it, but the top of the wall and the rim joist band are not. Those sit in the swing, and in a town that cycles this often they are worked harder than the same detail would be further north. It is a reason to treat the full height of the wall including the band rather than stopping partway down.
